Corded Headphones Question

If worse came to worse and something happened to the Deus phones and I had to use my Gray Ghosts (with adaptor) in the remote control, how much faster would it's battery run down? Would it last seven hours? How about clarity? Trying to get the facts, before buying the machine. Thanks for any info..

Getting an adapter to seat in the bottom of the remote is not easy. I eventually got myself a pair of Sony Earbuds to back up the stock backphones. They are very good sounding. I did not notice any more of a battery drain on the remote. I believe the coil will run out of charge long before the remote. I have gone 10 hrs on one coil charge and still had enough charge to hunt. Results may vary. But 10 hrs was two hunts. I could not hunt 10 hrs continuous.

Thanks for the reply goodmore , but I'm not much for detecting with earbuds. Guess I'll have to find an adaptor that 'does' work.

You just need to trim the plastic on the plug a bit to fit it in.
I've run my Pro Golds that way only as a test and they worked fine, although I can't say how long the batteries would last.
