Corn (completely off-topic)

New member
There's not much better (food) in life than an ear of corn that's been soaked in water (not sure of the minumum time yet) and roasted in its husks on a grill or fire .

Never tried 'em that way - sounds great - what's the purpose of soaking them? Had some corn on the BBQ the other day and it smells and tastes fantastic - we wrap in foil with butter, but I like the unhusked idea - we'll try it tomorrow. Thanks, Erik

Oohhhhh.... My uncle soaks the corn in warm sugar water for a few hours. Then when he grills it the sugar that made its way to the corn carmelizes, its the best!!!!

single thin layer all around and soak in water for 15 to 20 minutes. Put on the grill till the kernals are deep yellow or the husk is dark brown and your in for some good smokey eating. Goes great with a steak or hamburger.
