CORS coils.

Has anyone tried the CORS Fortune 9.5"x5.5” DD Search Coil on their Sovereigns?

Doesnt seem like it. Im still trying to determine is it Cors or NEL since they seem to be the same company.

Great. U dirt or water hunting? Id sure like to know how yhat coils compares to the standard in salt water. Especially on small targets. Im thinking that one or the 12" they have on an xcal.

I hunt both land and beach. Most of the sites I hunt are late 1800's - early 1900's logging camps and lumber mill sites. I might pick up the CORS Scout 12.5"x8.5" for some worked out parks and cleaner beaches.

I decided to order the Scout 12.5X 8.5. Should be here in about a week. My land sites are overgrown this time of the year so I will be hitting the beaches. We have some nasty mineralized hot rock infested beaches here in the Northwest so if it works well here it will work anywhere. The place I ordered from sells both the Nel and CORS. I emailed them about the difference between them a couple of days ago but haven't heard back. I got impatient and just ordered it. Price was right.

I remember your beach hunting video where you were hunting in black muck. The Sovereign was singing out targets like the stuff didn't exist. I also remember your picture of what you wanted the new Sovereign to look like. It made it's way around the web for years. Too bad Minelab decided to kill it off and go with the CTX. Nice to see you posting again.

Thanks Goodmoore. I had forgotten about the waterproof Sovereign I designed a few years back. It took me awhile to find it again. I do a lot of 3D design in my spare time so it was only for fun.

I have notice the Cors are inexpensive compared to the other brands.Crazyman let us know what you think of the performance of your new coil.

Ron, The CORS and the NEL are the same coil. I read somewhere that the name change had something to do with distribution or something like that. I'll be testing it as soon as I get it next week. I'll shoot some video of my tests on the beach and some worked out land sites.
