Hello i went out today and i couldt ground balance the f70. i changed the batteries checked all the cables tried AT mode i kept reading 90 or 10 and on a few occasions 50 it done my head i still managed to use it but it was all over the place. I was in a ploughed field and the ground was really wet it been raining allday its never happened before. Has any one had the same problem or does anyone know what the problem was

thanks

If you have a different coil try that on it. If you have a coil cover on it maybe sand inside the cover? If ground was wet maybe mud on the bottom of of coil?... Z

You were in a plowed field, all wet. Kinda gives away the reason. Depending on what crops are there, any number of chemical agents may have been used as herbicides, pesticides and growth formula. Them chemicals will alter ground mineraliztion reads dramatically in many places. Hopefully someone else will have a more detailed answer if you need one.

I've tried fast grab over hot rocks, in heavy iron mineralization and in cinder base under sidewalks just to try unusaul settings. Well I might be different but I ain't special. If the thing won't gb there, it won't.

Thanks for yr replys i took the coil cover off i aint got another coil so i couldnt try it. Its never happened before i was just wondering i did read a post that if it happens try another Hz setting there all slightly different the post said Fz7 was best for beaches and the other Fz settings work better for different places ie parks ,fields etc etc
