it is just way too hot to go out huntin. besides my knee has been acting up since last night. i had a surgery on it years ago where they had to remove half my cartlidge on both sides and recreate and replace my ACL. they used bone and muscle grafts from the back of my knee to create the new acl. they used screws to put it in so from time to time i just hurt.....i did however go out for a minutes to the farmers market / flea market. got some good produce ..skipped on the tomatoes....and found a real pretty stained glass mirror for 3 bux....im a sucker for stained glass. and thats my day. hopefully i can get tomarrow and hunt. but not sure...

I was in England when I went to my first 'Market Day' in the center of town. Was very nice to walk around and chat with some of the Blokes and I didn't mind much being called a Yank by them. Brought home some good foods at good prices...seeing it was the farmers selling it instead of some middle man jacking up the prices.

I have fond memories of England...detecting there, living and working there and mostly I miss those fish and chips.

Glad you found that neat mirror.

ya i think it is one that will grow on me. i find buying from the farmers cuts our produce bill by half. we were able to get 2 lbs of bananas, a basket of strawberries, a baskets of blackberries, a watermelon, a lb of peaches, 2 lbs of green beans, the sweet ones..and two pounds of red bing cherries plus the mirror all for 10 bux. :bouncy: we like the berries and such because my hubby makes alot of smoothies with them.

Wow, dobbie, that sure was a good buy on all you bought! Even at Aldi's where the food is supposed to be cheaper, it would cost at least twice as much for the same, except the mirror! That is really pretty and if I had seen it, I sure would have purchased it too! Ya did good and saved money even if you didn't get to go :detecting: Hopefully you will be able to tomorrow or the next! Good luck and may God Bless you to get some great finds!

thanx Ma..i forgot to mention we also picked up about a pound of kiwi fruits. the kids love them. like i said. i love stained glass mostly due to my mom. she collects it to but she has much nicer pieces then me. my best piece got sat on before i hung it up and got a crack in it.. i still hung it up anyways. i dont think i ever ran across a mirrored piece though.

Sorry about the crack in the pretty mirror....maybe one of those women on another post looked in it and it cracked! The men said they sure are ugly women and would drive any man to drink:  Cliff and I like Kiwi fruit also but the last we bought were not ripe and had an awful flavor! Yuck!!

God Bless!
