Couple of battlefield finds...........

I don't have clue what these two things are, but they are from a farm in Virginia. This first whatever is 4 1/2" long and 1/4" thick, except for the large 'anvil' portion (left end) which is 1/2" thick; the hole is 3/4" in diameter.

And this little doodad is 1 1/4" long and 5/8" thick, and is it
solid. The small piece sticking out of the top is round and 1/4" in diameter.

Any clues would be greatly appreciated!
