Couple of buttons

I dug this cuff size button in a Union 15th Corps camp site. I thought it was an eagle cuff until I cleaned it up. Howard College was founded in 1841 in Marion, Ala. It actually burned down in 1854 with many injuries to its students. Today it is Samford College. There is no back to the button but it is kinda cool anyway. Albert's lists it as SU 153. Also found an eagle cuff at a nearby site. Thanks for looking!

Now that's a cool find. Some might even consider that a Confedeate button with its pre-war manufacture and Souther origins.

Either way, it's a very cool piece. Congrats, man
