Couple of questions

I've been curious about this.---Why isn't there more used Omega 8000's listed for sale?--Is it because people get them & want to hang onto them or is it because they just weren't a good seller in the first place?-----Also, how does the Omega compare to the F-70 (pros & cons)?----Would appreciate any & all info on this.--------Thanks, Del

I have an omega and I love it. It is a great coin shooter. I do not have the F70 so I can not compare. Sorry

I just bought a used omega from backwoods a couple weeks ago. I would check with Richard first and watch the used forum.

The omega is at a price point where there are lots of options. People seem to hold on theirs.

Hay Del....Good to see your still kicking and well. Hope you are all bundled well for the winter. You asked about the Omega and the F70. I have ran both and can't really say which I like best, although at the present I am running the F70 again. Something about that machine with the 11"DD that just suits me. First time I ran the Omega the day started out nice and clear but turned into one of those off and on again drizzle days. Things got very wet. Initially I thought I better get out of this rain but something in me just wanted to see how much of this abuse the Omega would take. I'm not usually that way and tend to pamper my machines. I think what it was, is I was starting to like the Omega and I didn't want to like her as I liked the F70 so well, so I just kept going trying to find something wrong with the machine and thinking it would die any second due to the rain and mud. Well, the Omega never did die, and before that day was over I was a believer. I could not believe how smooth and quiet the Omega was running and yet I had to be getting to the fringes of it's ID depth with several six and seven inch Wheats. All strong hits though. I was running the standard 10 Ellip. coil and someday will get around to trying the 11"DD.....Do I prefer the Omega over the F70 now......No, can.t say that I do, but on the other hand, I really do not prefer the F70 either. In my opinion, if you have one, you certainly do not need the other but that won't stop many like myself. The ergonomics of the Omega is in my opinion the absolute perfect combination of Weight, Balance, and function. Thanks for letting me ramble. Dallas
