Finally warmed up enough to do some dirt fishing. Went back to a spot I had found 4 Indian Heads just before the frost set in last December. Great site. Very little trash and no modern coins yet.
Found these Saturday. 1917 Merc "p", 1907 Barber dime (no mark), 3 Indians 1903 plus 2 toasteds, 2 toasted wheats, and a very hard to figure out Shield Nickel. Only visible characteristic of the nickel is the bars on the shield every other aspect is gone.
My first barber and first shield nickel.
