had a good day at two parks with the explorer II. hit the junk park today and got 1 penny 1943 + an old silver ring that has a floral design. this ring was deeeep 8-9 inch and come up as a small good signal.i think it"s about 1920-30s so i"m stoked
.
i saw the next park on the way to another spot it has big trees and old houses all around. while i was detecting i was seeing bits of old willow pattern plates and glass but the targets where few and far between i think it"s been hit before so i started detecting around the edges of the park there where more targets bits of copper wire + an old horse buckle then bamo a 1906 penny so this means i"ll have to come back and hit this park hard.
on the way back to the car an old couple asked how i was doing and we got to talking about the history of the area and they told me a blacksmith + an old house where there in the 1850s then told me 3-4 other spots to hunt sweet. it"s funny i"v got a list of sites to hit every time i get to hunt one and cross it off the list i find three to replace it so i"v got a large list and not enough time to hunt them.
thanks for looking.
