I still got to buy me a pinpointer for the E-trac, what kind you recommend? I had a Detectro Uniprobe when i had the explorer 2 but man they are hard to find. I have to say to the E-trac is a different breed than the explorer and i will have to learn how to use it. But so far i like it.

Only one pinpointer to buy is the Garrett---Lost mine a few days ago---Got a new one on the way---Just about doubles the distance of the Pinpointer 2

I have read on the forums, good choice

As far as pin pointers go, I've only had two pin pointers and still have both, my first one that I got 8 years ago and still works is the White's Bulls eye

But my main pin pointer today and for years has been the Sun Ray X-1 Probe which gives the operator ALL of the same functions as a stock coil including accurate visual and audible target ID in both Smart find & Digital mode, non-motion pinpoint, etc.

David, it all comes down to how much bang do you want for your dollar, if I were you I would spend at least a little time on researching Probes for your new Machine and WHAT THE USER'S OF YOUR NEW MACHINE USE and suggest, you just bought a top of the line Machine, now do your home work and buy a top of the line Probe for it, just my two cents  Here's a start with some links then go from there :)
