Cross saving on Quattro/ Safari useful for coin hunting?

Anyone find this method (detailed in Andy Sabisch's book) useful while coin hunting? I have not tried it yet with my Safari. Is this a must depending on the site? Anyone have any feedback on cross saving helping with their finds?

Cross Saving: I hunt in Conductivity Tones and the Icons are not useful to me, so I cross save a tweaked Coin program (reject -10 thru -4) and I save it in the Relic program so I don't have the Icons but I now have Conductivity Tones. You can do the opposite with Ferrous tones and save a tweaked Relic or All Metal program into the Coin or Coin and Jewelry and then you have Ferrous Tones with Icons. That's all it does. It's just a preference thing. Maybe there is more to it, but thats the only difference I see.

yes and no

I like to use my standard coins and jewelry when I hunt but if I am skeptical on a 38 signal because it shows it being shallow but not small when I hit the pinpoint I might toggle to ferrious to verify it is a coin instead of aluminum.

That's the beauty of the E Trac ....You have BOTH Conductivity numbers along with your Ferrous numbers all at once ..... BIG time saver .... If I question my target , I go into the " All Metal" mode and check the Ferrous number ....Jim
