Cross Talk with Pro Pointer and T2?

Fish N Chips

New member
I have been struggling with some cross talk between my Garrett Pro Pointer and my Teknetics T2. I was curious what pin pointers everyone is using with their T2s? It does not do it all the time, just enough to get annoying. Thanks!

One possible solution is try using the Frequency Shift facility you have from F1-F7 4 being the factory preset, worth a try if nothing else, its easy to change the handbook will show you how easy it is.

Thanks, I tried the shift but find it does it on all the channels. Some more than others. It was not too bad until I put a new battery in my Pro Pointer, now it sounds off like crazy! Guess I should put the almost dead battery back in, lol.

you will find that your pro pointer is a pulse induction machine so will always interfere with your detector ,the simple answer is take your headphones off to use the probe

Jeff,i think you will find that the PP is a VLF based probe rather than Pulse, but i think the problem stems from working nearly on the same frequancy as the T2 itself hence the bleed over from interferance or cross talk.

yeah I had a black pro pointer used to drive the compadre nuts bought a carrot and seems better with out field testing just turn on in back yard the comp also 12 kHz same as black pin pointer not sure what the answer is other than putting the detector down away further from the plug? or get a loan of a carrot and see if that feeds back?
