I used my Ace 250 yesterday and this morning it won't turn on. I tried 3 different sets of batteries and switched coils. Nothing. It's on it's way to Texas. It's still under warranty. Sue at Garrett said they haven't had this problem before. I'm glad it happened on my last day of vacation. I need it back by the 15th of this month for another vacation. Gotta get those last 104 coins to make my all time 10K. Wish me luck. :detecting::cry:

Bummer for sure Bro.:rage: I know you have had that lock up thing happen a couple of times where I haven't but this one sounds a bit more serious. Hope you get it back soon so you can break that 10 k number. Keep us posted........

You'll get a like new tector back then you can really find those last few coins. Maybe it was just tired from all the abuse.

It is not snowing in CA, but you know what it is like not to be able to MD. It won't be long. You will be swinging soon.

Awhitster,
We feel your pain but am confident Garrett will come up trumps for ya, at least you don't have a
large pond between you and the Garrett factory, that also has to be some consolation.
That really is a fantastic coin total, so let that be some comfort to you.
We're gettin' a bit cabin fevered just now as well, since we have so many bookings and maintenance is intensive between jobs.

Thanks for all the support. I also like and expected some rough treatment also. I have a lot of faith that I will get it back in time. I am also thinking now is the time to order another detector for a back up.........err........I mean for the wife:rofl:

Don't you guys have any dealer repair facilities over there? Sending your tector all the way to Garland is a bummer.

On line it says it's 80 degrees where I live. My thermometer on my back porch reads 90 degrees in the shade.:hot:
