I hope some of the info I gave you in your other post helps out a bit. As far as your finds here, WTG! Not bad for a beginner. To find something as old as 1819 must have been a huge rush for you. You are on your way to making some great finds, I can tell. Continued Success Tone Junky! Good Luck and HH.

Thanks, James, but, this is not my first time Detecting, only the first time using an Explorer II. I didn't mean to sound ignorant about the Explorer, just looking for as much input as I can get. I've been detecting for about 4 years now & have had an Excal for about a year.

I've gotten a lot of different opinions on how to set the Ex II. Some prefer Fast-on, some Deep-on, others say high Sens, some say not too much Sens. I know I just need to get out & try all these things myself & will do so in the morning. I tried some of these suggestions last Sunday & finally started getting some deeper targets.

I'll post my results again tommorow. Thanks for the info.

That is what this forum is all about TONE JUNKY. Helping others out with problems when other hunters like yourself don't have other experienced detectorist's close by to help you out in the field. I am glad to help you out. Now to see what you find when you get out again and hopefully you try a few different set-ups and post what they did for you. Good Luck and HH.:detecting:

Wonderful digs TONE JUNKY:yo: That 1819 sure is sweet. Is that charm a piano? happy Hunting Grounds,

Savage.

Nice finds there TJ. Just the start of many more wonderful finds that I'm sure will pass beneath your coil. Best of luck on your next adventure. HH.
