I just bought a used cs6 recently, with no manual, any easy way to get one - anybody got an old one laying around I could get? Lost treasure magazine does a field test on most detectors, but I could'nt find one on the cs6? Any help or tips will be appreciated, this is my 1st pi unit. Thanks Chuck

I have a CS-6PI. Just turn the frequency control (tghe one on the right) fully counterclockwise fror msoe sensitivity on gold. Adjaut the left threshhold knob to a just audible signal and detect as you would with any other machine.
Here is a tip to help you tell if you have detected ferrous metal. Most ferrous metal on beaches that have sand dune fences are the old rsited metal shards from the fence. Some people call them nails because they are long and narrow.
Just go ovet the detected target from multiple directions, north to south, east to west and the diagionals and listen for a double beep...indicating ferrous metal. Do it a few times and dig the target just to convince yourself that what I am saying is accurate.
You should be able to get a quarter at about 8 inches. Burry a quarter and check it out. It will be a little more sensitive to nickles due to the composition of the metal, 9 to 10 inches. The CS-6 is is PI motion machine. That means that the coil must be moving to hear a target.
When you detect in the wet sand at low tide the frequency of finding rusted ferrous targets should diminish as that are usually located higher up on the beach.
Let me know if you want any more information.
