I have the Cscope 6 pi,could anyone give me some tips/advice please.I have done some air tests and found it too pick up large jewlery, however on fine stuff not a good signal. Would it work better on the beach! regards paddy.

Hello paddy,
The CS-6 operates at 17uS and operates very good in the ocean wet sand, It doesn't respond to the very small gold but does well with the med to larger pieces of gold.
So to your question "however on fine stuff not a good signal. Would it work better on the beach!".......NO!...It won't do better in the beach for the smaller conductors, It's designed for the med to larger gold but still does very well operating at the beach.
You'll be happy, I'll have two CS-6 units and both do well in the wet sand.

Thank you paul for your advice and how does it perform on the dry sand?also will it go deep.regards Paddy.

Hello paddy,
The CS-6 detects deep considering the price you can pick them up for, It's not a deep seeking pi but a fun Pi to use. Maybe 9 to 10" inches at most on nickels, That's very good for this low priced PI.
"Dry Sand" Again, It'll detect just as deep in the dry sand as it does in the wet sand. Just remember in the Dry sand you're going to dig more trash.
Happy trails, Paul (Ca)

Paul, once again many thanks.Just one more thing mate, can you tell the difference between ferrus and non ferrus by the sound or sizeing the target

Ferrus and non ferrus sound the same, Except for hair pins and papper clips. Most hair pins or paper clips tend to sound funny sort of a soft double signal.
