OK, this may not look like a Terminator to you, but you gotta admit she's cute. This is Sarah, daughter number 3, she is 12 years old. The first time I took her relic hunting, she dug a Yankee eagle button 12 minutes into her first hunt. Click on photo's to enlarge

We get to the site, and start detecting. She's very good with that little Tesoro.

Well, about 15 min. into the hunt I see her under a big tree, digging and digging. She's there a long time, so I start wandering that way. When I get there, she's got a pretty big hole dug and a whole pile of bullets in front of her, and still digging. Then she pulls out a whole Spencer... then another whole Spencer. Pretty soon, she's got 7 whole Spencers, 13 Spencer bullets and 8 or so Spencer casings and bottoms. This is all out of one hole approx. 10" across and 14" deep. I had to help her at the very last because she got into some very hard ground and roots. She broke a whole Spencer as did I, but still, pretty good haul for 12 years old.

Here's Sarah's digs for the day that she found in 15 minutes. Two seasoned relic hunters I know of (ahem...) known as Greg and Vernon, somehow blundered over this Spencer bonanza and never found it... maybe the little Tesoro had the magic touch, or maybe it was just the "Terminator". And what did Dad find? Well, if it hadn't have been for this eagle button, it pretty much would have been a one-sided relic hunt. At least I did redeem myself before the eyes of my child! Thanks for looking y'all. The picture below is my eagle button... pretty good definition.
