Should I store my ctx battery at full charge or discharge it for the winter

Unless you live in a frozen area during the winter months, I'd say keep swinging.

However, if you are frozen in, I would give it a good charge and store in a warm (not hot) environment.

You might want to ask Minelab about that. If they are like the Li-Po or Li-Ion batteries used in R/C equipment, they should be stored at about 80% capacity. Either that or keep them "exercised" by discharging and recharging periodically throughout the off season. Best bet would be to consult Minelab or an authorized Minelab retail/repair facility.

Great reply! Li-lon batteries are much more user friendly than ni-cads! I keep mine on the charger 24-7.
