CTX3030 on the way!!

I pulled the trigger and ordered a CTX3030 from Bart at Big Boys Hobbies. Like always he gave a AWESOME price and super fast shipping. It was shipped the same day in just a hour. I can't wait to see if it will truely find more then my At Pro.

I wish I knew who was letting the performance of the CTX out the bag. This has to stop. Anyways congratulations. You know what this means don't you. You can't let a detector like that set in the corner. You will have to hunt and do more research.

Not telling you what to do... but I'll tell you what I did... messed with the factory settings on my first out of the yard hunt! I'd recommend you not do that!! When I did that and could not figure out how to "fix" it, I put it in the truck, took out the AT Pro and promptly found a 1917 wheat and a 1940 merc, in the same hole. The CTX might be the 800 pound gorilla but the AT Pro is no slouch by any stretch of the imagination! Congrats. :clapping:

When you are trying to learn new equipment leave old faithful at home. If it is in the car you will go get it every time. Even when I'm trying new coils I will leave the old one at home. You need to force yourself to learn.

That's a good point, but my initial plan was to get a faint hit with the CTX, then try the ATP on it... as it ended up (in the rain) I pulled out the ATP and scored a merc!
I also just wanted to listen to the two machines over a given space and learn the difference with the CTX over what I already know with the ATP....
