cursor in pinpoint mode

Is the cursor in pinpoint mode a reliable source of information it seems so far to be pretty accurate. What has your experiences been with it.

Thanks Jer

Hi Jer,
I have not had some few items come in at different depths than I expected while useing this mode. Mostly if the item is a different size or shape than coin size and shape.
Overall I find it very accurate.

good luck

Jer, I agree with you. From my limited experience (I've only had my E-Trac for ~5 weeks), my observations have been that the cursor remains accurate while in pinpoint mode (both normal & sizing). It appears to accurately track the target's ferrous and conductive coordinates. If pinpointing from the Smartfind screen, I sometimes loose track of where the cursor is (especially if the target falls within the discriminated-out area). I tend to have a clearer picture (i.e., I don't loose track of the cursor) pinpointing from a "wide open" QuickMask screen.
