Hello Everyone,
Been a while since I have posted. Been hunting quite a bit, just not finding much worthy of posting. Friend from work heard I MD'd and said I should come by his house. I asked why. The house I built sits right on top of a Union Battery that shelled a nearby Rebel stronghold. I also have 5 acres around it. After I pulled my chin off the floor I made a date to go by. The site has been hammered for years prior to my friend acquiring the property. I have gone 3 times and this nail is the best find so far. I have worked it long and hard with my Safari. Lots of small square nails, they are everywhere!!!!!! No buttons or bullets. It is driving me crazy. Will continue hitting it. Got to be something else out there.
Thanks for looking,
Bunker

Ive been hitting this 1700s farm for about a year now off and on,most Ive dug were nails and lager metal stuff a few IHs wheat's,but i kept it up and all of a sudden this past week with all the rain we had, Ive been hitting on silver and IHs-wheat's 1850s-1940s,buckles,old gold watch, and a few nails all in a 40' area and there's about 400 acres to check, then the ground started drying up some and it was back to just nails, but it rained hard today so I'm going to try it again tomorrow and see what happens maybe the rain has a lot to do with it.

BigDad75...Congrats on your finds!!! I will definitely have to hit it after a good rain. Thanks for the insight! I'll post more if I find anything.

Hey Bunky, nice to see you posting pics again. It's still a relic. With all that remaining property to search, maybe there are some hills and low lying areas where more relics may have accumulated. If not with the Safari, wondering if you've tried the 3030 or Etrac units there?..........but I'm hoping the Safari gets 'er done !

Hi Ken,
I have hit it pretty hard. Found a tiny button (no marks or insignia) along a infantry line. Will post a pix when I clean it up. I will eventually take my other machines up to Georgia, but for now I am using my trusty Safari.
Hope your hunting is going well.

Nice find, but how old is that ruler?

Yea, it's an old one. Probably from the 40's or 50's. It was still around till the early 90's. We use to go to his ranch in central Florida for Labor Day Weekend.
Thanks for looking,
