CX III Problem

I have got a GM CX III thats haveing a intermitant problem it works
just fine and then turn it off and turn it on at another time and
it powers up screen and every thing looks good but no sound
or the coil is not reading anything. adjustments can be made as if every
thing is working but no response sometimes theres a little sound
or a coin might read just barely. it dose this with different
coils to. any one got any ideas? I hate to send it in if I dont have to.
Thanks for any tips you can give me.

Two things you might try.

1) press and hold the power touch pad for 10 seconds until the voice prompt informs you that the factory settings have been restored.

2) Remove battery cover and be ready to remove batteries. Push the power on button and pull the batteries. Wait 30 seconds, put the batteries back in and power up. Sometimes this will reboot the system.

Hope this helps.

I had a CXIII years ago doing the same thing had to send it to Garrett for repairs.

If rebooting doesn't solve it you need to send it in. Also have you checked all your battery connections and put fresh batteries in?
