I was scuba diving in a lake in PA the other day when I came across a $1.00 bill at the bottom of the lake on the mud about 8' down. I then went over to the area where they put in the boats and found a $50.00 bill. also on top of the mud.I also found about $2.50 in coins. Then I went over to where the kids went fishing and cleaned up on the lurs. I didnot find any gold or silver this hunt. But I will be going back in a week or two.

Congrats on the finds, 50 bucks is 50 bucks no matter how you slice it. That's better than getting it the hard way with 5000 memorial pennies.

More than one bill has been found, seems like they get waterlogged and lay on the bottom and really stand out..Would imagine some nice jewelery has been found the same way. <img src="/metal/html/shocked.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":shock"> <img src="/metal/html/shocked.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":shock"> <img src="/metal/html/shocked.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":shock"> ...

I read post where someone said to check empty cigarette boxes you dig up. One guy found a couple of C notes in one. Others have found rings and coins too.
