CZ 21 ?

kickback

New member
I just found out I'm moving to the East Coast for a new job.I'll be close to some nice beaches.I'm going to get a detector for the beach.I have alot of experience with Fisher CZ detectors.I see lots of posts about Excal.finds.Does anyone use the CZ20/CZ21 on the beaches? Do they work good there?I had a Sovereign GT for a while and I just didn't like it.I guess I didn't really know the tones that well.I dug lots of deep goodies with it but.........Thanks in advance.Bill

CZ's work very well on the beaches I've hunted from Delaware to the Carolina's and a couple of hunts in Florida. I've got a CZ6a and a CZ20 as well as a Sand Shark PI detector that all get used primarily on the salt water beaches (when I can get to them). The guy I bought my CZ20 from had three CZ-20's and was cutting down his detector count. He has since added a CZ-21.

I've seen a fair mix of Excals and CZ's in the water and over the wet sand. While you will hear a lot of people say get an Excal, one of the CZ users I ran into on the beach (in the water) this past summer had his CZ-20 since new and said that over the last 12 years or so has sent it in for two over hauls. The last one brought it back looking just like a new CZ21. You won't pry the CZ from his hand. I like mine, but haven't used an Excal yet.

Excal ought to work a lot like the Sovereign GT. If you preferred the CZ's to the Sovereign GT, well there ya go.
Cheers,
tvr

Hard to find a better detector than a CZ 20. They get down to the deep stuff where others can only dream of.
