CZ-3D coin shooter

This designed yesteryear detector with it's small coil doesn't inspire a lot of confidence at the dealership.
Broken coil nut, a bit of oxidation here and there, 8" concentric coil, standing in the second hand corner.

Especially when the dealer is into other brands in a big way, shiny new boxes, sharp design DD coils, telescopic handles, GPS capabilities, etc., etc.
So I bought it and a goldbug 2 and traded in my 6 month old French whiny tuned super detector.
Quick read through the manual, didn't even bother with an airtest. Of a hunting we go.

I haven't had more fun since I dug my first coin!
Switch it in Disc 0 and it's like an M1 Garand, fires off on every piece of iron and then DING when the clip/coin ejects.

This thing is a blast!!

I ended the hunt with a decent amount of clad, a few older coins, washers, pulltabs and crowncaps.
A few from deep down, very respectable!
A few mini bits, nice sensitivity!

But most of all, a large garfield smile on my face. :bouncy:

Just had mine out today for the 1st time. I had a blast digging everything above iron. No stellar finds, but the cz3d put the fun back into metal detecting for me too. I did dig some iron including a square nail in great shape. Did you use salt or enhance mode?

You do not want to use the salt mode on regular dirt, it's meant for salt beach. Keep it in enhanced mode and enjoy digging only hi tones while being able to find all US coins, including the gold ones!

Enhanced/Salt seems fairly obvious.
I like the way they branded it enhanced, could have put Normal on the decal as well.

As Aaron stated I ran it in enhanced, Hi tone loves pull tabs in my neck of the woods.
A quick double check in pinpoint tells you if it's near the surface or deep, I always dig the deep ones.

Why am I digging these older deeper coins with this analog multi frequency fisher unit??
On one swing it signals high tone, on the other a lower tone.

Pinpoint confirms depth and the pro-find can't find it.
Dig the plug and out comes a deeper older coin.

Don't know what TD did when he designed the enhanced feature on this detector. But I am very gratefull for it.
It digs history at the sound of a high tone!
