That's a standard Union army Civil War coat button. If you dug that up with your CZ-70, it's the nicest "dug" button I've ever seen. Did you clean it? I've dug up several of them with my CZ-70 but never anything that looked that good.
This is commonly the condition of the ones we dig around here...

thanks Mike , yes I dug this button i found it near of old train station in chihuahua Mexico .this place dates 1800s.
did you know the date of the button?

Probably made between about 1858 and 1865. You may be able to find an exact match to it by doing some google searching. I found the link below, which has some that are very close.

extra quality back in the Civil war era? I would think it would be a more current button? But I don't have a clue.
HH,
Mike

I'm here in central Florida and we don't see any buttons like these. I didn't have a clue that buttons fetched such prices either.

Mike

There is only one two that have manufacture names on them.

They look like they are U.S. AirForce Buttons. Could be wrong, been a while since I have seen any of my uniforms.

Those sure are pretty buttons.
You can imagine my surprise when I found this gold and sterling pin 2 winters ago in the middle of the same pasture where I found an 1849 Large Cent. All with my CZ-70, sens 4 of course.

Somebody told me it was Merchant Marine, pre-WWII. I've not found it anywhere though, so not sure.
