CZ Vs. the Garrett 1500

I got a 1500 about 8 mo. age and I having using CZ's for yrs.. The 1500 has a stander coil and a 4.5 coil. I have a CZ-5 with 8 and 5" coils. On depht on the cz , on a dime 8" = 12", 5"= 9", on the 1500, on a dime stander coil 8" , 4.5= 4". But I can go where alot of bottle caps are with the 1500 and never get one.

can the 1500 do that with good ID? It seems some machines really do lose a lot of depth on coins with smaller coils. Not Fishers!

Quite frankly CZ's are deep machines is what their strongpoint is...Garrets on the other hand don't give you superior depth, but give you a better meter and notch system. No perfect detector as each has their strong points. If I am going to a real old area with deepies a CZ is in my hand in a well manicured yard or park would take the 1500 for its ID and notch capabilities..
