I haven't found much with the new beast yet, but I did notice one improvement over the Excal. I went to a beach that gets pounded by Excal's & PI's & found a dime in the wet sand, the reason I found it was it was under a bobby pin which the other machines either null out on or give the tell-tale double beep. I'm impressed with that.

I own an excel and recently bought a CZ 21. like them both, find the CZ easy to use.

Have you ever used an Excal? I (and many others) have found plenty of good targets over/under junk like that.
