CZ3D Anyone have luck on targets in three or less directions

Hi, Wondering if any of you CZ3D users ever dig targets that only repeat in three or less directions. I usually only dig if they repeat in all 4 directions. The few times I have dig 3 direction targets, it has always been junk. Wondering if I am missing anything. Thanks

when it repeats in only two directions-and I dig it, and find a good target. It may only be 1 in 7, or 8. Disc (TID/tones) is not a sure thing-its a guide.
Scanning, often in p.p. [or disc., shortening sweeps] tells me trash is near in some direction-and just as normal, trash can be together with a good target.
Taking the time is often rewarding-and your eyes are an absolute discriminator-always right.

Real deep silver dimes ...sometime its tough to get to repeat 2 ways not alone 3 or 4....you may be passing up some nice deep silver....after a while just by the audio you will have a good idea...rel good or bad target...

Yep. Found a 1909O Barber half, with the CZ-3D, a few months back at around 3" deep that gave me a really weird signal in all direction. Sometimes I got a beep in one or two directions; sometimes odd signal in all directions. Almost didn't dig it

Did you scan the hole after you removed the quarter? Whenever I dig a "maybe" signal and get a good target, there's always something under or nearby the good target to shift its I.d.... Little foil scraps or iron shavings that wouldn't set your detector off otherwise will skew the target I.d. sometimes too.

Iron masking can definitely cause less than 4 way high tone signals on good targets. Which is why I don't think the cz is the best detector for heavy iron spots.

You will dig some iron, especially deep bent nails, if you're chasing those fringe deep coins. But deep coins will often have a slightly different timbre in the high tone that you notice instinctively with experience.

Also I make sure on deep targets to pinpoint accurately. When I flip the plug back if it pinpoints on the side and nothing towards the middle of the deep plug either in the plug or below it a couple inches deeper than the detector depth reading, it's iron every time.

Yes, I definitely rechecked the hole after recovering the half. I didn't find any trash, but I may have missed seeing a small bent nail. I was so excited at finding the coin that I was more concerned about other coins in the vicinity than trash.
