Post was "Hottest nickel machines" The cz3d was mentioned quite often, if not the most. I've never had a Fisher in my hand. So did some reading up on the 3d. First I got to admit, I got a thing about banging nickels. The posts over there had a lot of people happy with the machine. Any ways I was getting really interested in it than I realized (not water proof at any depth) Ah man no, it can't be ! I have accidentally dunked a detector 3 times in the past. Was lucky to dry them out myself. Than there's the days it's raining or heavy misting. You guys know what I mean. Ain't asking for much, just give us 10 feet of proof. I know there's the cz21, but already have a pulse induction. So for now, that's it for me. Easy to say, cause I know the cz3d is going to nag on me for awhile. Mean while I'm assuming that being that hot on nickels, it does good on gold rings ? Or am I wrong about that.

Well a cz21 is just a regular cz5-6a etc. that's waterproof.
Has allmetal and disc.had a cz20 since 93 and have found more with it than any machine. Great discrimination.
It's not comparable to a pulse machine, except depth is probably as good as most deep pulse unts.

My biggest gold ring ever came with the CZ3D. It was a great experience. The CZ3D was designed for one thing. To find (maximizing).
old coins at old sites which it is very good at and will find nickels galore. If a gold ring is in that nickel range it will high tone, the same as if
a gold coin was in the nickel range it will high tone. Now to find smaller gold (micro jewelery, thin gold) can't say you won't find it but
this is not the machine for those duties.Older coins for OLD SITES. If hunting modern trash sites get ready to dig tons of aluminum.
JMHO My last CZ3D was hot and was an early early 1021 machine and pulled out barbers at 10+ inches but that was near full
sensitivity with falsing but you gotta know what your listening for. I have replaced my old 3D with another after selling my original
one which is a 1021 but she ain't as HOT. I should have never divorced her. I wish she come back home and forgive me...
