cz5 conversion

I have a CZ-5 Tom D converted to CZ-3D. What is the difference between the normal mode and the salt mode?

--he recommends Salt in areas where there is a large amount of modern trash (foil/tabs) and the targets you hope to recover are newer. (it also cuts down some on the 'front end' or gain
to make it more stable in wet salt-this is different than Sensitivity which is the 'receive' side of the detector)
In normal, foil and tabs are altered a little as are Zinc pennies and Nickels. Its so that some older coins, V, Buffalo, and Shield Nickels, and Indian Head pennies that might fail in trash notches now fall
in the coin notches.
