CZ6a tuneup

He can also convert a CZ-5 to a CZ-3 specs if you are interested.
Not really. He retunes the high tone ranges to be where they are in the CZ3D "enhance mode" so it puts more old US coins in the high tone range and not mid-tone. For example, in normal tune many indian head pennies will ring mid-tone while in the "enhance mode" they ring high tone. There is no addition of a 4th tone that the CZ3D has, the CZ5 remains a three tone detector, just with the high tone range a little different than stock tune.

Thanks for the clarification. Thats what I get for trying to remember something I read a while back and not proofreading it again.

Just didn't want someone who may not have known what Tom calls the CZ3D tune for a CZ5 or CZ6/6a to think they could get a 4 tone detector out of the tune!
Cheers!

I hope I'm not too late. How can I get in touch with Nasa Tom? I have a CZ6 that I would like for him to calibrate. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

He has a Web site with his contact info. You can google his name and it should come up. I’d post it here but not sure it’s allowed
