Do they work good in the trash,my guess is yea,but hows the depth?Stuff sinks fast here and if the depth is weak it won't do me much good..I had one like 20 yrs ago but can't remember at all,thanks s.t
 
CZ 5 inch hockey puck coils work well in trash and one can usually run higher sens. which equates to good depth. Mainly they will go where large coils will not and really lighten the load...
 
At an intellectual level of course a bigger coil is deeper. But usually anywhere there is trash the 5 will go as deep as you want to dig! :detecting:
