So I've found 5 mercury dimes already this year and guess what? All are 1943's. Whats the odds?

Very high mintage of the 1940s merc dimes.....just like it is almost impossible to hunt without finding a 1944 wheat...lol
 
Good job on the finds looks like 1943 is your lucky number
 
VERY IMPRESSIVE

I had found three 1943 War Nickels and had the same question and I just
recently found a 1944 War Nickel and broke the pattern:)
 
the odds of that have to be like 1 in 500 or 1000....pretty cool. nice digs too.
 
Really interesting. I often look up dates on the net and see what happen at the mintage place in that year! A little fun. Unfortunately, being in Germany, 43' was kind of rough. Interesting that in that year, WWII was going hard I think, and they minted lots of silver coins!
