D2 13" coil smacks some deep silver

I got a 13" coil for my Deus 2 a couple weeks back. Since then, I've been looking for some way to really test it out. I decided to hit a local sports field where there's been activity dating back to at least the Civil War era.

While I didn't get anything that old, it was a successful hunt. I started off getting several clad coins. Then a 1950s wheat popped up, followed by another. "Man," I thought, "Wouldn't it be nice if there was some silver around here?" My next target was a sweet high tone with a low 90s VDI. The digging was easy, so I cut a plug, removed some dirt, and BAM, the Merc appears. It was every bit of nine inches deep. The Roosevelt dime was a few feet away and more in the six inch range. Got the other two wheats and the key before calling it.

I guess the 13" coil works! (Deus 2/13" coil/Forager program)
