Day one pre-forum hunt...........

Joe made it is safe from New York, about 3:30 he made it to my place and then we went off to meet up with Henry at an old park.

About the time we got to the park Greg was picking up Steve at the airport. They went to Greg's to get settled in. Henry, Joe and I hunted for two hours. I got 6 wheats 44D, 46, 40, 19, 16, 54D. Joe got some clad, and while I was detecting I heard this big YEEE HAAA come from the Ragun Cagun! I knew it was something good! Henry had found his first ever merc! a 1936. He said that it made his whole trip! We are very happy for him!

at 6:30 we met up with Steve and Greg at Applebees for dinner. What a great time of fellowship.

Tomorrow we will hit it early and be joined by Leslie and later Dogface. More pics etc later!

Just meeting new friends and fellowship is all I really need to find...Diggin up goodies-or finding none at all-is secondary to all the good memories we are gonna make...And,record on my camcorder..

Looks like you guys are already having a blast. Thanks for the updates and great pics Mike...keep em coming. At least that way all of us that couldn't make it can share in the fun.
