Day trip for Hank, Jacky and me yesterday....had a lot of fun...found a little silver.

Packed the picnic basket and we headed out for a day trip to Northwestern Ct...left at 9 AM ..returned home at 6PM

The rural scenery was beautiful. We stopped off at one of the many parks for lunch...Hank went over to read the park regulations and found the silver earring on top of the wooden post.

Later on we stopped by a roadside river that had a little sandy beach ...I detected while Hank gave Jacky a swimming lesson.

Had never river detected before ...it's lots of fun...but I found the current to be more difficult to detect in than mild ocean waves...there is never a let up..and for a small river I was surprised at the strength of the current.

Anyway, I found a couple of silver rings in this river , and clads.

The all - silver ring looks vintage to me...the style appears outdated..and the silver quality seems to be different than from the silver I find these days.....just my opinion.

The band of this ring was split when I retrieved it  but I added a pic to show the shape of the ring...similar to a tiara...I like it.

Will surely be going back to this site soon.

Here's pics of the finds.

thanks for looking

He has that look most of the time because he is blind; he is very shy and feaful of any activity out of his ordinary routine.

As the months pass since we adopted him, he has made great strides, but he has a long way to go.

We want him to get used to swimming without fear of the water so we have been gently exposing him to lakes and the ocean.
