DD coils for the Goldquest SS

I couldn't find it in the posts, but may have missed it; but the question could arise "where is the RX damping resistor?" The RX coil needs to be damped for the same reason that the TX does. To dissipate the induced energy and prevent ringing. The answer is, that the Minelab DD coils have an inbuilt damping resistor across the RX winding, hence no external resistor is required.

Should there be a switch installed for the Mono or DD setup on the case? <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
 
You may not need a switch at all. I would make the changes in the plug.
