DD vs Stock Dual Scan Coil on TDI

ScottTX

New member
I just returned from DIV and had an experience where it was difficult ground balancing the TDI in a particular corn field.

I have read that DD coils gives better stability in highly mineralized ground. But, I wonder about the depth and sensitivity vs the stock Dual Scan coil. With the stock coil I dug a 3/4" piece of .003-.005 rusted wire at approx. 13".

I am considering the purchase of a DD coil but before I commit I like some user input, especially from users of DD coils.

Thanks,
