Deeper's 6 PI

Is anyone familiar with this detector? Their
website certainly makes it sound like a good
detector.

Maybe you mean the C-Scope CS-6PI? It is the same one being sold in the US by New Force Detectors.

Well, I guess I'll speak up. Their website sure looks good. You know, best detector in the world and all that. They show detection depths for various objects. It looks like it blows the Deepstar away, but on what targets? A soda can? A metal gallon jug? Gee, that's great. Just what I need, more cans. I can take them to the recycler and get about two cents each. I'll be rich in no time! I would rather see a depth comparison on targets like various jewelry, coins, etc. If their information is correct it looks like a great cache hunter.
Has anyone even seen a Deeper's 5? They claim to have sold 540 in 28 countries in less than a year and a half. This forum is read by people all over the world. Surely someone must have seen one.
The Deeper's 6 sounds interesting, but I'm a little too leery to send $1150 to another country and hope for the best.
Happy Hunting,
John.

I am designing a pulse detector based on PIC chips. In my testing I have used a 7inch coil of copper magnet wire of about 25turns. Using this I am picking up a soda can at 2feet. I would be happy to sell any of you guys one of these for $1000 beating their price by $150. I'll also sell you some swamp land down in Florida so you'll have some land to hunt on. <IMG SRC="/forums/images/smile.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":)">
My point is that John is right and I think Eric would agree, its not hard to build a pulse detector that will pick up a can at 24inches. Eric's Deepstar is supposed to pick up coins at that depth. Now that isn't easy to do.
Best regards,
Charles

I liked the tecnologia Mexicana. una cerveza or Coca-Cola can at a depth of 60cm!!! I wonder what they do with all those cans? What WAS interesting was the home made search coil construction. Did anyone catch the plastic pipe fitting techniques? This truly was a nice idea which we can all learn from. I would not give much hope to hold this machine (or any other) up against anything Eric Foster makes for many reasons. An aluminium beer can can be detected at great depth with quite a late sample time of the received waveform. Try this on thin rings and jewelry and the story soon changes. The absence of data on these targets for this product, raises a big red flag for me. With this said, I am sure that we all wish them good luck, Dave. * * *
