Deepest coins or jewelry?

Hi, went to the beach about 5 days ago and dug a quarter at about 13-14 inches, have to set recovery at around 2 and slow down your swings.

I used to chase that kind of depth, had a 18" SEF coil on my V3i that weighed like 300 lbs. Then I realized the only time I ever found anything that deep was buried trash. I would MUCH rather have great discrimination at 6-8 inches then maximum depth at any cost.

Probably 8" on a wheat, but just getting some time on it. Still trying to figure out what volume number works best for me. Don't want to blow my ears out but still want to hear the deep ones. Audio Gain let's me tell the deep ones at 3, but 4 makes them loud. Target volume I like to leave at 10. When you turn your main volume up it also increases the volume of your Threshold as well. I'm using the wireless headphones. I wish it had a volume knob on it. I've have it right in just a few seconds.
