Deepstar & Aquastar

Yes, the Aquastar and Deepstar are unavailable for the moment for the following reasons:-
AQUASTAR. The company that manufacture the waterproof cases have ceased production of the one that I use, unless I order a minimum quantity of 250. At around $70 each plus shipping, import duty etc, this is out of the question. This is a big disappointment as it was a superb case and the circuit board, metalwork, battery pack and specially made plastic spacers, were all designed to fit neatly inside. So far, an alternative case has not been found, but efforts will continue in this direction and hopefully the Aquastar will be back soon.
DEEPSTAR. This was a powerful non submersible PI that had been in production for some years and was due for a revision. Along the way a SAT control had been added plus a switch to give two choices of transmitter pulse width. A new DEEPSTAR 3 has been designed that has all of the standard adjustments plus SAT and TX pulse width, plus some additional features and a NiMh battery pack instead of the NiCad one used before. The belt mounted unit is smaller and 2lbs lighter than its predecessor. Further details will be available shortly.
Eric.
