Delay in suffering

Delay in suffering

Q) Suffering is the fruit of our previous sin, but why Lord delay the suffering, which sometimes do not make the soul understand that it is because of the particular activity that he is now suffering, in that case he may still do the old sin again?

Ans) If there is a possibility of the change in the soul by immediate suffering of the sin, God certainly grants the punishment here itself immediately after the sin. When such hope is absent, God postpones the punishments so that his short span of life may be free so that one day or other, he may digest the divine knowledge and transform. The human life is very short and also is very rare. Let this short human life be engaged in the service of God with out any disturbance. If punishments are given immediately, no time is left to serve God and please Him. When the examinations are near and if a student is to be punished for a crime, a good principal postpones the enquiry to a day after the examinations so that the little time leftover may be properly used. After the examinations the student has lot of time to face the enquiry and under go the punishment. This shows the kindness and best administration of the principal.

suffering can be the consequences of other's sins, AIDS, drive-bys, adultery etc. Punishment for sins as indicated by the Bible can be immediate or delayed. The Bible does not indicate that immediate suffering will or will not make a change in the sinner. Those that rebelled and sought Baal worship while Moses was on the mount receiving the laws of God were swallowed whole by the earth and went to their eternal dwelling place and it wasn't heaven. Trying to follow your thoughts and not quite sure what you're presenting as it doesn't seem clear. Feel free to post here and welcome as I don't recognize your on-line persona.

Welcome to the forum dattaswami2 and I agree with Paul.....we suffer due to our own past sins of not doing right and being sinners and because of present and past sinners who caused and cause problems in and with the world! When we live for Jesus, by loving, obeying and serving Him, faithfully, we still may suffer from sickness and trials caused by many things and poor air and etc., but He is with us to be able to endure and overcome all things we may have to bear while in these fleshly bodies. When we are In our glorified bodies, all sickness, sorrow and death will end and be no more, providing we have accepted Jesus, as our own personal Savior, so all our sins have been forgiven and cleansed by His, precious shed blood and by the washing of God's Word when studied, diligently, for godly wisdom, knowledge, and truth the Bible has by God's Holy Spirit revealing it to us!

The unbelievers, who refuse to accept the truth of God and His Living Word, Who is Jesus, our blessed Savior and Lord, will have their eternal souls punished after they are judged at the Great White Throne of God Jehovah and have to depart from Him and cast into the Lake of Fire...which is everlasting torture and torment! For all to escape the second death is why Jesus was virgin born, lived and died a terrible death by crucifixion upon the cross and rose again by Resurrection for His glorified body and we will also by believing in and living for Jesus!

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him and are baptised shall not perish but have everlasting life! (John 3:16)

The second death for the eternal soul is a final punishment that lasts on, on, on, and on as eternal joy does for those Who love Jesus and truly believe in His birth, death and resurrection! Glory Hallelujah, may our Lord forever be praised! God Bless! Betty

The ignorant person invites happiness and wants to avoid misery with the help of God. The priests are exploiting this at a micro level and some of the present spiritual preachers are exploiting the same point at the macro level in a dignified way. A businessman exploits public at a micro level directly. A politician exploits the public at a macro level indirectly under the name of

Christians do not want to avoid misery by seeking God and His answers to prayer, they pray for the needy person or poor, lost souls to have God's comfort and strength in their lives to endure and overcome all things! We can give praise to God in all things, for it is in the trials of life that most of us grow closer to Jesus, our Lord and Savior, and give Him honor and glory in all He does to help us through the difficult times! We can get bitter or better and I truly hope each Child of God gets better and closer to His Son by walking in His light, the more light we see the brighter and happier our lives will be....but not void of suffering or problems! Ignorance is not accepting Jesus Christ as the One and Only true God, Who sent His beloved Son to die for you and for me! It is your choice to believe in Him but He is real and whenever you do accept Him then you also will know He is truly real and though He died, He arose and He lives, eternally! God Bless!
