DeLeon question.

Is the DeLeon a good detector for working a salt water beach? Wet and dry sand? If so, what coil would be best? My son in law wants a detector and I am leaning him toward a DeLeon. The reviews are great.

Dry sand 'yes' but wet sand 'no',not the best choice for wet beach use.

The DeLeon is one of my favorite detectors, but as mentioned above not a good choice for a wet salt water situation and may be marginal in heavy mineralization. On the other hand, mine has done very well on coins in parks, soccer fields, fair grounds and the like and I really enjoy swinging it.
