DeLeon stock coil problem ?

Help! just picked up a Deleon, and the stock coil chatter and i.d. bounces all around, even with the sensitivity set all the way down, but with the 5 3/4 coil it is pretty stable (sens. set 8-9)

If the coil is the 8X9 spider coil, then no big loss, just find good used 8" concentric, one of Tesoro's best

I'd send the detector and coil in for a checkup. It's likely that preset ground balance is off for the larger coil, but possible there's a coil problem so they should check both. Mine chatters a bit with the 10X12, but I seldom use that so it's not a problem for me. I find my D is pretty stable set at 8-9 in most areas.
