General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

I sent you a PM explaining that this site is a private for profit company. You were promoting a product that competes with products sold by our sponsors. This is NOT allowed. PERIOD.
 
Who else makes quality covers for detectors, even the whites website has a place to post these, they don't seem to have a problem with it as long as its in the accessory section. They even make covers for the detectors they sell though not of this quality, if I could get the same quality covers from them or even a US company I would be more than glad to do so. I thought this website is to help detectorist out with the investment they made, I just kinda figured that this site was started from someone who detects and has an interest in helping with the hobby and others out in the hobby, though I could be wrong.
 
You are right on most accounts, but it is clear you are trying to sell product without paying for advertising. That is not fair to those who do pay.
 
I'm not selling anything just trying to let others know what a good product they are to protect others investments, just as I'm glad to have heard of these covers on another site. They are not very well known here in the states and was just trying to help others out as I had thought that this is what sites like these was designed to do. I offer others any info that I can provide to help out with their detectors or detecting in general at no cost to try and make it easier and more pleasurable to enjoy the hobby and very much appriciate any info others can provide me.
 
And exactly how do we tell the difference between this guys shills trying to get free advertising and an honest appraisal by a happy user.
Just guessing but me thinks I already answered you. Craigslist and Ebay can make things happen. Find's cost money to advertise and good products sell well here so the adverising dollars would be tiny compared to the profit of a good selling item. And since the other site you mentioned loves you why not just go there. Are you an evangelist making sure we all get the word?
