Delta 4000 8" or 11"

Hi after very extensive reading on everything metal detectors and using the Bounty Hunter VLF for a few months I feel ready to get myself an upgrade. I decided on the Delta 4000 but I'm not sure which coil size to get, I'm mostly interested in relics and coins.
Advice would be greatly appreciated!

8" coil with the Delta.

I am also curious why you selected the Delta as an 'upgrade' when you could have gone a step or two more for a Gamma or Omega? Those two models are more versatile with manual Ground Balance, selectable Tone ID, and variable Discrimination adjustment. Just curious.

Gamma/Omega is a little more money than I'd like to spend right now unfortunately I'm looking around 400 plus tax as my max.

Hey. New 4000 owner. Go thru sears.com. you will be transfered to another store. Youll save over $140.00 on the delta 4000. I found out after i already bought mine. Tth...
 
I went to Sears.com....didn't see any prices that were different from 6 other online retailers I know of that sell this unit. Also, if you want the 5 year warranty on a Teknetics unit, you need to buy from a authorized dealer...like Big Boys for example...or other forum sponsors here. Take my word for it.....you do want the warranty......on any mfg's detector. I am all about the best deal but I am confident a authorized forum sponsor can met or beat the online retailers in this case. Plus, patronizing forum dealers helps keep this website running. And they will help you more than just any seller, as they do business here. At least talk to a forum sponsor..what can it hurt?
 
I went ot sears.com and checked out prices. They are really high. Don't know how you got such a good deal.
