I know air test don't show us a lot for various reasons. Then again I would rather buy a machine that got 8" on a quarter then one that only got 4'.
The first is all metal sense at 10, vol. 10. The items must give stable
reading on the display screen.
Barber quarter 8"
Merc. Dime 7"
Indian head Penny 6"
Nichol 6"
Second test, in disc.10. sense at 10. Must have good screen display. vol. 10
Barber Quarter 8"
Merc. dime 7"
Indian head Penny 7"
Nichol 7"
Third test Disc. 40, sense 11, vol. 10 Must show well on display screen
:
Barber Quarter 8"
Merc. Dime 7"
Indian Head Penny 5"
Nichol 7"
I have no doubt these numbers would inflate if I just went on sound with no regard for the display screen. I had a fisher 1236x2 and did a lot of that. It was a good machine. Just sold my white's 5900 Di Pro sl cb. What a performer that was just two heavy for the old fella any more.
Bottom line is I'm pretty impressed with the delta 4000. Not much difference in test. ummm! Hope I didn't bore you .
I've enjoyed reading all the interesting and informative post here.
