A few months back I purchased a used Delta for my daughter to use, and to use as a loaner. Yesterday I called a good friend and asked if he wanted to detect with me. I walked him through the Delta controls, coached him through a few digs,, then turned him lose and grabbed my T2 for some digging of my own. After a while he calls me over to check a hole and see if he should keep digging. Sure enough, there's an 80 signal in a 6 inch deep hole. He removes one more scoop and out pops a wheatie at a legit 7 inches. I was pretty impressed with my inexpensive, used loaner machine. Before I knew it, he had dug up a second wheatie, and I had only dug clad up to that point. It really lit a fire under me and I finally got on a few older coins myself.
It got me to thinking I might take the lower frequency Delta out for a coin hunt some time. Seems to be deep seeking enough for the average situation.
